I have not yet killed the poinsettias that we received as a Christmas gift in EARLY December. Usually seasonal* plants in my care don't even make it through the holiday month. However, due to a warm, sunny spot by the front door and tender ministrations (ie watering regularly), they have survived. Quite honestly, I 'm not sure what you're supposed to do with the red Christmas plant when it's almost time to observe St. Patrick's Day and Easter. Maybe I should just remove the garish gold foil and pot the things?
*I have to say seasonal plants, because my pothos and ficus have been alive for years, much to my surprise. But they're the type of plant you can pretty much ignore and they still survive.
