We had a doctor's appointment in Iowa City yesterday, so we did a little exploring. We found a cool little Mormon Pioneer bronze memorial. As the kids got situated for me to take a picture, I had to laugh about our completely non-pioneer experience. We travelled to the area in air conditioned car, while playing a DVD and listening to music on various iPods. Once in Iowa City, we stayed at a three or four star hotel, at a discount. We thoroughly enjoyed the air conditioned room and 400 thread count sheets.
Although we didn't travel long hard miles by hand cart to find a place to observe religious freedom, I think we have hard choices to make now in order to live the principles of the gospel in these times. I'm grateful for parents who taught me much. They blazed a trail for me to follow - thanks Mom and Dad!
