DQ Rocks My World!

The whole family stopped by Dairy Queen the other day while driving home from the hospital. Since it had been a long day and I had dairy-ease pills in my purse, I decided to splurge on a Blizzard. Oh the wonders of that particular creamy, cold, confection! Everyone else got a Brownies Thin Mint, but I think I've found a new favorite, the French Silk Pie Blizzard. Delish!
Sadly however, I went looking for a picture to post, and stumbled instead on the DQ calorie calculator. At a whopping, deep breath because this is going to hurt, 680 calories, it's a good thing I'm lactose intolerant, because that's not a treat to have very often. Darn. Just when it was getting good.

Ouch! No worries - I found out that one of my Arby's milkshakes had the same number of calories as a scoop of ice cream. But life is too short - all in moderation, right?

So the next time I see a DQ - I'm going to have to split your French Silk Pie Blizzard with one of my monsters. ;)

Hope you guys had a great 4th!

Ya its definitely a Gotzinger thing. David is the same way when he has dairy. He loves it though so he doesn't mind paying the price. So funny! :o)

My all time favorite is the Nerd Blizzard, simple but truly the best. And they don't have it in AZ - but they do here. I knew we came here for a reason!

My favorite Blizzards are seasonal so you can only get them for one month of the year: Pumpkin Pie (November) and Mint M&M (December). - Louie
