So for our Superbowl gathering I was forwarded a request to make the Bacon Explosion. Although it was more of a bribe for Quinn and familly to attend our gathering than a request, once I understood what the Bacon Explosion was, I was committed.
For some bacakground on what the Bacon Explosion is, see this article in the NY Times.

My key learnings for the next time I make this (oh, yes, there will be a next time) are to roll the sausage thinner, make sure the bacon weave is tighter when I roll the meat log, bake it longer before galzing so that the outer bacon is crispier before glazing, and to use a better quality bbq sauce that I like more.

Here are my pictures of my experience.

All that said, it was still scrumptrulescent. It was sacrideliscious.
